Owen, Timothy S
educator, lawyer, author, was born July 18, 1865, near Peytonsburg, Ky. He obtained a common school education and engaged in teaching in the public schools of his native county for three years. He attended the National Normal university at Lebanon, Ohio; studied law and was admitted to the bar by the supreme court of the state of Ohio in 1893. He has built up a very lucrative law practice in Muncie, Ind.; and is one of the prominent republican speakers of his section of the country. He was engaged in a number of joint discussions with the best orators and speakers of the democratic party and advocates of free silver.
