Olmsted, Elmer Benton

lawyer, financier, politician, was born Dec. 22, 1860, in Jersey Shore, Pa. He attended the Dickinson college, of Pennsylvania, from which institution he graduated in 1884. He then began the study of law at Williamsport, Pa., and soon afterward became managing clerk in one of the largest law offices in New York city. In 1889 he moved to St. Paul, Minn., where he has since been engaged in the practice of law. He has made a specialty of real estate, banking and commercial law and probate practice. He is considered authority on mortgage foreclosures and titles, and has an extensive clientage reaching into many of the states.

He also represents several banks in making loans, examining titles, and foreclosing mortgages. He is a director in the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce, and in 1892 was a delegate to the national republican convention.
