Mcmichael, John M
journalist, lawyer, legislator, was born March 16, 1838, in Xenia, Ohio. He attained success as a lawyer of Plattsburg, Mo.; has been city attorney and mayor of that city; and served with distinction as a member of the Missouri state legislature. He was a member of the national convention which nominated Tilden at St. Louis in 1876; was vice-president of the national silver convention which met in St. Louis in 1889; and has always taken an active part in political affairs. He is the editor of The Leader of Plattsburg, Mo.
