Hicks, Josiah D
soldier, lawyer, legislator, was born Aug. 1, 1844, in Chester county, Pa. During the war he served as a private in the Pennsylvania volunteer infantry. He has always been an active republican; served his party as county chairman and also as a member of the state committee . In 1880 he was elected district attorney of Blair county; and in unanimous renomination and was re-elected. In 1884 he formed a law partnership in Altoona with his former preceptor , Hon. Daniel J.
