Henderson, Leonard
lawyer, jurist, was born Oct. 6, 1772, in Granville county, N. C. In 1808 he was made judge of the appellate court; in 1818 was elected to the supreme court of North Carolina; and in 1829 was appointed chief justice.
He died Aug. 13, 1833, in Williamsborough, N. C.
HENDERSON, MRS. MARY FOOTE, author, was born about 1835 in New York.
She is a writer of St. Louis who organized the Industrial Art school in that city, and is the author of Practical Cooking and Dinner-Giving; and Diet for the Sick.
