Head, Natt

manufacturer, state senator, governor, was born May 20, 1828, in Hooksett, N. H. He was a representative in the state legislature in 1861 and 1862.

He was adjutant-general, inspector-general, and quartermaster-general of the state from 1863 to 1870, rendering most efficient service. He was defeated for the state senate in 1875; was state senator in 1876 and 1877; and was president of the senate in the latter year. He was governor of New Hampshire from 1878 to 1880. He died Nov. 12, 1883, in Hooksett, N. H.
