Harrison, Miles W
educator, was born June 6, 1855, in La Grange, Ohio. In 1879 he graduated from the Oberlin college; and has ever since been engaged in educational work. He was principal of the high schools of Auburn, Ind.; and subsequently superintendent of city schools in that city. Since 1886 he has been superintendent of city schools in Wabash, Ind.; and is considered one of the foremost educators of that state.
HARRISON, NAPOLEON BONA- PARTE, naval officer, was born Feb. 19, 1823, in Virginia. In 1838 he entered the navy as a midshipman; became commander in 1862; captain in 1868; and in 1868-69 was commandant of cadets in the United States naval academy. He died Oct. 27, 1870, in Key West, Fla.
