Green, Edward Howard

soldier, lawyer, legislator, public official, was born March 1, 1837, in Aurora, Ind. During the civil war he enlisted in company I, sixteenth regiment Indiana volunteers, and was elected first sergeant of the company. He next entered the eleventh regiment of Kentucky volunteer cavalry as second lieutenant, was promoted to first lieutenant, and finally to captain. In 1866 he was elected a member of the Indiana state legislature, and during 1877-79 served as mayor of Aurora, Ind. In 1886 he was elected prosecuting attorney of his county, and in 1890 was again elected mayor of his city, and again in 1892. He died. Sept. 7, 1893:

GREEN, EDWARD HOWLAND ROB- INSON, railroad president, was born Aug. 22, 1868, in London, England. Since 1893 he has been president of the Texas Midland railroad.
