Grant, Frederick Dent

soldier, was born May 30, 1850, in St. Louis, Mo.

He is the son of General Grant, and in 1873 was commissioned lieutenant-colonel, in which capacity he served eight years.

GRANT, FREDERICK ELSWORTH, lawyer, jurist, was born Jan. 14, 1854, in College Hill, Ohio. He received his education in the schools of Rossville, Ill.; and has attained success as an able lawyer of Huron, S. D. Since 1890 he has been commissioner of the United States circuit court; and is the present county judge of Beadle county, at Huron, S. D.
