Fyan, Robert W
soldier, lawyer, jurist, congressman, was born March 11, 1835, in Bedford county, Pa. He served in the union army during the civil war, rising to the rank of colonel; and at the close of the war was appointed circuit attorney of the fourteenth judicial circuit of Missouri. In 1866 he was elected judge of that circuit, and was re-elected in 1868, 1874 and 1880. He was a member of the state constitutional convention of 1875; and was elected a representative from Missouri to the forty-eighth, fifty-second and fifty-third congresses as a democrat. He died July 28, 1896, in Marshfield, Mo.
