Ferrin, Chester M
soldier, physician, was born Sept. 27, 1837, in Holland, Vt. He has filled the positions of school trustee, superintendent of schools, commissioner of insane for the state of Vermont, and for thirty years has been secretary of the Eighth Vermont Regiment association. He served three years in the civil war, and is now commander of Sherman post, Grand Army of the Republic, at Essex, Vt. He has been successfully engaged in the practice of medicine since 1865, and since 1872 at Essex Junction, Vt. In 1897 he was elected a member of the Vermont state legislature.
FERRIS, A. F., banker, state legislator, was born in 1865 in Perrysburg, N. Y. In 1872 he moved to Minnesota, where he is president of the First National bank of Brainerd. In 1891 he was secretary of the game and fish commission, and vicepresident of the Brainerd board of trade. He has also served two terms as a member of the state legislature.
