Flitcraft, Allen J

educator, journalist, author, was born May 14, 1854, in Woodstown, N. J. For many years he was engaged in educational work, and became superintendent of public schools of Doylestown, Pa. In 1878 he was made a special agent of the Provident Life and Trust company, and traveled in its interests throughout the eastern states. He has ever since been identified with insurance business, and in 1888 published a work on insurance which became very popular; and subsequently issued a valuable work entitled Life Insurance Manual, which has run through many editions; and he has since published other works on insurance lines. He is the editor and owner of The Life Insurance Courant, one of the leading publications of its kind.
