He has served with distinction as. additional law judge, and president judge of the fourteenth judicial district of Pennsylvania. He has gained a good reputation as an able lawyer of Uniontown, Pa., the city of his birth. His grandfather, Nathaniel W.

Ewing, and his father, John K. Ewing, also filled the office of president judge in the same district; and his great-grandfather, John Kennedy, was one of the judges of the supreme court of Pennsylvania.
