Emswiler, George P

merchant, author, was born Jan. 15, 1835, in York, Pa. Since his youth he has been employed in various capacitiès-as dry goods clerk, bank clerk, school teacher, freight and ticket agent; and for twelve years was proprietor of a wholesale and retail business, in which he has been emisuccessful. nently He has a most extensive collection of coins; and a large collection of mound builders' relics which he donated to Eastham college of Richmond, Ind. He is the author of a volume entitled Poems and Sketches; and has contributed extensively to periodical literature.
