Edwards, Pierrepont

soldier, lawyer, legislator, congressman, was born April 8, 1750, in Northampton, Mass. He was frequently elected to the Connecticut legislature; and was administrator of the estate of Benedict Arnold at the time of his treason. He was a delegate from Connecticut to the continental congress in 1787 and 1788; and subsequently filled the office of United States judge for the state of Connecticut, which he held at the time of his death. He died April 5, 1826, in Bridgeport, Ky.
