Davison, George Mosby

lawyer, jurist, congressman, was born March 23, 1856, in Stanford, Ky. In 1881 he was appointed to a position in the internal revenue service, which he held until 1885. In 1886 he was appointed master of chancery, or commissioner, of the Lincoln circuit court, and resigned in 1893. In 1887 he was elected to the legislature from Lincoln county as a republican. He was elected judge of the Lincoln county court in 1894, and for ten consecutive years has been chairman of the Lincoln county republican committee. He was elected to the fifty-fifth congress as a republican.
