Delano, Columbus

lawyer, legislator, congressman, was born June 5, 1809, in Shoreham, Vt. In 1817 he moved to Mt. Vernon, Ohio; was a candidate for governor in 1847; and in 1861 was commissary-general of Ohio. In 1863 he was a member of the state legislature; and served as a member of the twenty-ninth, thirty-ninth and fortieth congresses as a republican.

DE LANO, MILTON, merchant, manufacturer, banker, congressman, was born Aug. 11, 1844, in Wampsville, N. Y. He was twice elected sheriff of Madison county, N. Y. He was a delegate to the national republican convention in 1884; and was elected to the fiftueth and fifty-first congresses as a republican.
