Corbin, Horace
lawyer, jurist, state senator, was born May 21, 1827, in Tioga county, Ind. In 1852 he was elected prosecuting attorney, and in 1862 he was chosen to the state senate, where he served four sessions.
In 1873, when Plymouth first became a city, he was elected its mayor. In 1875 he was tendered by Governor Hendricks the appointment of judge of the circuit court, which he accepted, filling the office with credit to himself and the satisfaction of the district, until the fall of 1876, when he was named by the democratic party for the same position.
