Clark, Henry A
lawyer, legislator, was born Aug. 3, 1815, in Sidney, N. Y.
The early history of Bainbridge contains in part the history of Henry A. Clark.
While representing his district in the state senate in 1863- 65, he was the friend of the governor, Horatio Seymour, and was one of the first to vote for the appropriation for the new state capitol. He was a member of the state republican committee for many years. Mr. Clark was one of the organizers of the one hundred and fourteenth regiment; although unable to enlist himself, gave liberally toward the advancement of the cause of the union.
