Case, Marietta Stanley

poet, was born Aug. 22, 1845, in Thompson, Conn. She is the daughter of a clergyman of Puritan and revolutionary ancestry; and she is regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She has held various offices in home and foreign missionary work.

Her best poems are entitled The Waning Century; and Amorpatioe, the latter being written for the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was one of the Connecticut women authors given creditable mention at the Atlanta exposition. She is the wife of Mr. A. Willard Case, a prominent paper manufacturer of South Manchester, Conn.
