Campbell, Timothy J
congressman, was born in 1840 in Ireland. He was a member of the New York assembly in 1860-75; and was afterwards elected justice of the fifth district civil court in New York city; and served six years in that capacity. In 1883 he was returned to the state assembly; and was nominated for state senator and elected. In 1885 he was elected a representative from New York to the forty-ninth congress, to fill a vacancy; and was elected to the fiftieth, fifty-first and fifty-second congresses as a democrat.
