Burr, Albert G
lawyer, jurist, congressman, was born in 1829, in Illinois. He was elected to the Illinois legislature in 1861; was a member of the state constitutional convention of 1862; and author of the address to the people accompanying the constitution. He was re-elected in 1863; and was elected a representative from Illinois to the fortieth and fortyfirst congresses. In 1877 he was elected judge of the seventh circuit of the state, and was re-elected in 1879 for the full term of six years. He died June 10, 1882, in Carrollton, Ill.
