Breneman, Abram Adam

chemist, lecturer, author, was born April 28, 1847, in Lancaster, Pa. In 1875 he was pointed assistant professor and lecturer apon chemistry at Cornell, where from 1879 till 1882 he was professor of industrial chemistry. Since then he has resided in New York, where he has been actively engaged in professional work as a writer, an analyst, and a chemical expert. He has written on the chemistry of ceramic manufactures and delivered a course of lectures on that subject in New York. With Prof. G. C. Caldwell be has published A Manual of Introductory Laboratory Practice.
