Bixby, Moses Homan

missionary, clergyman, was born Aug. 20, 1827, in Warren, N. H. He received the rudiments of his education in the public schools of his native city; attended Newbury seminary, Derby academy, and Montreal college; received the degree of A. M. from Dartmouth college, and the degree of D.

D. from the Central university of Iowa.

He first served four years as a pastor in Vermont; then for twelve years was a missionary in Burmah, India, and for the past thirty-three years has been a pastor in the Baptist church of Providence, R. I.
