Bienville, Jean Baptist

colonial governor, was born Feb. 24, 1680, in Montreal, Canada. He was the founder of New Orleans; and French governor of Louisiana. He died in 1765 in France.

BIERER, ANDREW GREGG CURTIN, lawyer, jurist, was born Oct. 24, 1862, in Uniontown, Pa. He has attained success in the legal profession; has been city attorney of Garden City, Kan.; city attorney of Guthrie, Oklahoma; and in 1893 was appointed by President Cleveland associate justice of the supreme court of Oklahoma Territory.
