Bedford, Gunning
JR., lawyer, legislator, jurist, was born in 1747, in Philadelphia, Pa. He graduated at New Jersey college in 1771; practiced law at Dover, and at Wilmington, Del.; was a member of the legislature; attorney-general of the state; and a delegate to the continental congress in 1785 and 1786.
He was a member of the convention which formed the federal constitution; was a presidential elector in 1789 and 1793; and was United States district judge from 1789. He died March 30, 1812, in Wilmington, Del.
