Barr, G. Walter
physician, lecturer, author, was born Oct. 25, 1860, in Medway, Ohio. In 1880 he graduated from the Indiana Asbury university, and in 1884 from the Jefferson Medical college of Philadelphia. He is professor of materia medica, therapeutics and hygiene in the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Keokuk, Iowa. He has been a public lecturer on popular science; was lecturer on hygiene in the Training School for Nurses in the Blessing hospital of Quincy, Ill.; is post-surgeon Illinois division Sons of Veterans, U. S. A., and a prominent member of many leading medical and pharmaceutical associations. He is the author of Idiosyncrasy and Drug, and other works.
