Barker, Fordyce
physician, author, was born May 2, 1819, in Wilton, Maine. He was a New York physician of prominence and a professor in the Bellevue hospital from 1860; and the author of On Sea-Sickness; and On Puerperal Diseases. He died in 1891. BARKER, GEORGE FREDERICK, educator, author, was born July 14, 1835, in Charlestown, Mass. He has been professor of physics in the university of Pennsylvania since 1873. He is the author of Correlation of Vital and Physical Forces; and Text Book of Elementary Chemistry.
