Albright, Eliza Downing

educator, temperance worker, was born March 13, 1847, in Philadelphia, Pa. After her marriage in 1867 to the Rev. Louis M.

Albright, she was engaged in teaching mathematics and natural sciences in the Ohio Wesleyan female college; and has also filled the chair of mathematics in the Depauw female college, of which institution her husband was president. Since 1877 she has been identified with the Ohio Woman's Christian Temperance Union and the Woman's Foreign Missionary society, and has filled numerous positions of honor as secretary, chairman and speaker.
