ADAMS, J. McGREGOR
manufacturer, was born March 11, 1834, in Londonderry, N. H. In 1858 he settled in Chicago, representing Morris K. Jesup and Co., the house being subsequently merged into that of Crerar, Adams and Co., which is yet in existence, and of which Mr. Adams is a partner. In this concern and in The Adams and Westlake Co., incorporated in 1874 with a capital of $650,000, of which he is president, The Union Brass Manufacturing Co., and kindred concerns, Mr. Adams manufactures the whole range of goods called railroad supplies, including headlights, lanterns, car trimmings and other specialties in metals, many of them patented articles.
