Veeder, Emily Elizabeth

author, poet, was born in the valley of Lake Champlain, N. Y. She was a student in the Packer institute of Brooklyn, N. Y.; and has traveled extensively in the United States and foreign countries.

She belongs to a talented family, and is the granddaughter of Judge McOmber.

She is the author of Her Brother Donnard; In the Garden, and Other Poems; and has arranged several of her poems to music of her own composition.

During the author's congress of the World's Columbian exposition, Mrs. Veeder originated the idea of an author's institute. She has contributed extensively to current literature, and her most popular poems are Twilight Hours; In My Dreams; and A Voice.
