Vaill, Joseph
clergyman, author, poet, was born July 3, 1750, in Litchfield, Conn. He made two missionary tours, one in 1792 to Vermont, and another in 1807 to the Black river country in New York. After 1832 he was given a colleague. He contributed to the Connecticut Evangelical Magazine, under the pennames of Senex and Jethro, wrote for other periodicals, and, besides sermons published narrative poem entitled Noah's Flood, with some minor poetical pieces.
