Toulmin, Henry
lawyer, jurist, author, was born in 1767 in England. He was a jurist who was a judge of the United States district court in 1804; and was the Kentucky secretary of state in 1796-1804, and president of Transylvania university, and subsequently lived in Alabama. He was the author of A Description of Kentucky; Magistrate's Assistant; Collection of the Acts of Kentucky; Review of the Criminal Law of Kentucky; and Digest of the Territorial Laws of Alabama. He died Nov. 11, 1823, in Washington county, Ala.
