Thibodeaux, B. G
congressman, was born in Louisiana. He was a representative in congress from Louisiana from 1845 to 1847, and for a second term ending in 1849. He died in March, 1866, in Terrebonne, La.
THIBODEAUX, HENRY SCHUYLER, governor, was born in 1769 in Albany, N.
Y. His early days were passed in Scotland, coming to Louisiana in 1794. In 1805 he was elected a member of the territorial legislature, and became a justice of the peace in 1808. He was three times elected senator of the general assembly. In 1824 he completed, as acting governor, the unexpired term of Governor Robertson.
The town of Thibodeauville, La., was named in his honor.
