physician, congressman, was born March 27, 1761, in Dover, Del. He was a delegate from Delaware to the continental congress from 1777 to 1778. He died Oct. 18, 1822, in Dover, Del.

SYLVESTER, HERBERT MILTON, lawyer, author, was born Feb. 20, 1849, in Lowell, Mass. He is a Boston lawyer who has published two volumes of sympathetic nature studies; and is the author of Prose Pastorals; and Homestead Highways.

SYLVESTER, NATHANIEL BART- LETT, lawyer, author, was born Feb. 22, 1825, in Denmark, N. Y. He is a lawyer of Troy, N. Y.; and the author of Historical Sketches of Northern New York; History of the Connecticut Valley of Massachusetts; Indian Legends of Saratoga; Historical Narratives of the Upper Hudson; and Histories of Saratoga, Rensselaer, and Ulster Counties, N. Y.
