Sutter, Daniel
merchant, was born Dec. 16, 1830, in Mount Holly, N. J. For forty-five years he was identified with the business interests of Philadelphia, Pa., and for thirty-two years was the senior member of the firm of Sutter and Miller, rubber merchants, retiring from active business in 1896, and has since resided in the place of his nativity. For twenty-five years he has been a bank director, and still continues in that capacity; also retaining an interest in various other corporations as director, treasurer and stockholder. He stands high in Masonry, is a thirty-second degree Scottish Rite, and is a member of the Pennsylvania Historical society, and the Horticultural, Colonial and Genealogical societies of that state; and also a member of the Union league, Trades league and other associations in Philadelphia.
