Snowden, David Harold
educator, clergyman, lecturer, author, was born April 25, 1842, in Fairview C. H., W. Va.
He has attained eminence as a clergyman of the congregational church; has filled pastorates in various cities, and now fills a pastorate in Nickerson, Kan.
He has received the degrees of M. D., Ph.
D., D. D., LL. D., F.R.
S., and is a member of many learned bodies.
For many years he taught Hebrew and Greek; is a brilliant lecturer; and the author of Is Man a Creation; The Seven Most Prominent of the Twenty-Five Bibles of the World; God's Hand in American History, and other works. In 1898 he was appointed assistant surgeon-general of the western department, with the rank of colonel in the regular army.
