Searight, Thomas B
lawyer, legislator, author, was born Feb. 20, 1827, in Fayette county, Pa. In 1848 he graduated from the Washington college, and was intimately associated with James G. Blaine while at college. He is one of the foremost lawyers of the east; has a large practice in Uniontown, Pa.; has served as a representative in both houses of the Pennsylvania state legislature; and is the author of The History of the National Road; Letters on States' Rights; and various other valuable contributions to historical literature.
