Scott, Charles
soldier, lawyer, banker, was born Nov. 7, 1847, in Jackson, Miss. At the age of fifteen he joined the confederate army, and served with distinction. He is one of the leading lawyers of the south at Rosedale, Miss.; the president of the bank of Rosedale; prominent in the public affairs of his city, county and state; and for many years was president of the Mississippi levee commissioners. He is possessed of a constructive talent which places him in the front rank of lawmakers; and his name has several times been mentioned in connection with the senatorship of his state.
