Reynolds, Thomas

lawyer, jurist, state legislator, governor, was born March 12, 1796, in Bracken county, Ky. He settled in Illinois; was elected a representative in the legislature and made speaker; and was attorney-general of the state.

He was judge of the supreme court. In 1828 he moved to Missouri, where he was a member of the state legislature; president judge of a court of justice; and was governor of Missouri from 1840 to 1844.

He died Feb. 9, 1844, in Jefferson City, Mo.
