Palmer, William Adams

lawyer, jurist, governor, United States senator, was born Sept. 12, 1791, in Hebron, Conn. He was a member of the Vermont legislature for six years; judge of the supreme court in 1816; and was a senator in congress from Vermont from 1818 to 1825. He was governor of Vermont from 1831 to 1835; a member of the constitutional convention of 1828 and 1836; and judge of probate and of the county court.

He was two years a state senator. He died Dec. 3, 1860, in Danville, Vt.
