Oberholtzer, Sara Louisa

reformer, poet, was born May 20, 1841, in Chester county, Pa. She is the author of several volumes of poetical works entitled Violet Lee; Come for Arbutus, Hope's Heart Bells; Daisies of Verse; Souvenir of Occasions; and other works; and has also contributed extensively to magazines and newspapers. She has been president of the Longport Agassiz Microscopical society; president of the Soldiers' Aid society; president of the World's and National Woman's Christian Temperance union; and superintendent of School Savings bank of Pennsylvania.
