Morey, Henry Lee

soldier, lawyer, congressman, was born April 8, 1841, in Butler county, Ohio. He served in the union army from 1861 to 1865, attaining the rank of captain. He studied law; was admitted to the bar in 1867, and commenced practice at Hamilton, Ohio. In 1871 he was elected city solicitor of Hamilton to fill a vacancy; and was re-elected for the term of two years.

He was elected prosecuting attorney of Butler county in 1873; and was elected a representative from Ohio to the forty-seventh and forty-eighth and fiftyfirst congresses as a republican.
