Mccue, Alexander
lawyer, jurist, was born in 1826, in Mexico. He was corporation counsel of the city of Brooklyn in 1861 and 1862, and again in 1867 and 1868. In 1870 he was elected one of the judges of the city court of Brooklyn, serving until 1885, when he became solicitor of the United States treasury at Washington.
MCCULLAGH, JOSEPH BURBRIDGE, journalist, was born in 1843, in Ireland.
In 1875 he became editor of the Globe- Democrat of St. Louis, Mo., which position he still holds.
