Little, Robbins

educator, lawyer, was born Feb. 15, 1832, in Newport, R. I.

In 1873 he became an examiner of claims in the war department at Washington, remaining in that office until 1878, when he was elected superintendent and later a trustee of the Astor library in New York city.

LITTLE, MRS. SOPHIA LOUISE [ROB- BINS], poet, was born Aug. 22, 1799, in Newport, R. I. She is a poet of Newport, R. I.; and the author of The Last Days of Jesus, and Other Poems.
