Leovy, Henry Jefferson

soldier, journalist, lawyer, was born May 17, 1826, in Augusta, Ga. For many years he was the owner of The New Orleans Delta, which was seized by General Butler in 1862. He served with gallantry in the confederate army during 1861-65; and in 1870 was elected city attorney of New Orleans.

She is the wife of the archæologist and explorer, Dr. Le Plongeon; and the author of Here and There in Yucatan.
