Leonard, Charles Henri

physician, journalist, author, was born March 28, 1850, in Akron, Ohio. His preparatory education was obtained at Hiram college, Ohio; Genesee college of Lima, N.

Y.; and the Union college of Schenectady, N. Y., from which latter institutution he received the degree of A. B. in 1872, and A. M. in 1882. In 1874 he graduated in medicine from the medical department of the university of Wooster, of Cleveland, and subsequently took a post-graduate course at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New York city. He has attained success in his profession at Detroit, Mich.; and has been professor of gynecology in the Detroit College of Medicine since 1879. He is the author of a Pocket Anatomist; and other works. He is the editor and owner of Leonard's Illustrated Medical Journal, which has been published continuously since 1877.
