Layton, Fernando C

lawyer, congressman, was oorn April 11, 1847, in Anglaize county, Ohio. He was a county school examiner for several years; and was prosecuting attorney during 1875- 78. In 1863 he was captain of the Home guard; was captain of company G, Ohio national guard during 1878-83; and captain of the Knights of Pythias during 1886- 91. In 1890 he was elected to the fiftysecond congress was re-elected to the fifty-third and fiftyfourth congresses. He declined a fourth term, and settled down to the practice of law in Wapakoneta, Ohio. as a democrat; and
