Lamb, Robert N
soldier, lawyer, banker, jurist, was born Nov. 23, 1824, in Perry county, Ind. He received the rudiments of his education in the public schools; and subsequently attended Hanover college, and the De Pauw university. In 1848-49 he was prosecuting attorney; and for ten years following was auditor of Switzerland county. During the civil war he served in the union army, with the rank of captain. In 1864-70 he was judge of the common pleas and circuit courts. In 1886-89 he was president of the First National bank of Indianapolis, Ind.; and since 1887 has been president of the Consumers' Gas Trust company of that city, where he has attained success as one of the leading lawyers of the state.
