Kerr, William Jasper

educator, college president, was born Nov. 17, 18, in Richmond, Utah. He received his education at the university of Utah, and at the Cornell university; subsequently receiving the degrees of B. S. and B. D.

During 1887-90 he was instructor in science in the Brigham Young college; in 1892-94 filled the chair of mathematics in the university of Utah; and since 1894 has been president of the Brigham Young college of Logan, Utah. In 1896-97 he was president of the Utah State Teachers' association; for many years has been prominently identified with the educational development of Utah; and has contributed extensively to periodical literature on educational and kindred topics.
